Three new Nomina porridges are made for simple preparation of a hearty dish.

Three new Nomina porridges are made for simple preparation of a hearty dish. Each is different in its content serving a specific purpose. The names are chosen accordingly. This, of course, does not mean that the Office or Outdoor porridge is not suitable for athletes. It all depends on your expectations. Even though these porridges are not made exclusively from grains, it still remains that they contain no added sugar or flavourings.

Nomina Sport porridge is a mixture of complex, easily digestible rice carbohydrates providing energy not only for a sports performance. These are complemented by white quinoa flakes often labeled as super-food for their nutritional value. The whole body health is further supported by inulin, a prebiotic soluble fibre feeding the intestinal microbiota. This porridge is suitable for preparing both with animal and the increasing popular plant milk. It does not contain gluten or lactose, which makes it even vegan-friendly.

Nomina Office porridge serves primarily for preparing a morning snack or a lunch. The ingredients are targeted at filling, providing energy as well as a reasonable dose of both soluble and insoluble fibre (each has its place in a diet). The grain cornerstones of the porridge are sorghum, red and white quinoa, and wholegrain rice. These ingredients are complemented by flaxseed flour and inulin, a soluble type of chicory fibre. Sunflower seed lecithin is added to stimulate brain and memory function. This porridge is suitable for preparing both with animal and plant milk. It does not contain gluten or lactose, which makes it even vegan-friendly. It is only fitting to add a piece of fresh fruit or some of your favourite nuts or seeds.

Nomina Outdoor porridge is different from the two above in the fact that you can prepare it using only hot water. The cornerstone are grains such as oat, barley and wholegrain spelt. These are complemented by coconut oil powder. The coconut oil standardly contains over 50% of fatty acids with long or medium hydrocarbon chain. Such fats constitute a convenient, fast energy source for the body with no effect on the blood sugar. You will have Nomina Outdoor ready in a few minutes, and it will give you the strength you need for your hike. You only need a thermos flask with hot water, the porridge, a bowl, and a piece of fresh fruit might come in handy. Or you can pick some blueberries along the path. The nutritional value of the porridge is, of course, increased by the content of both soluble and insoluble fibre. Each serving crunches with 5 g of chia seeds.
