Virgin flaxseed oil is a rich source of healthy fats. It contains over 90% of unsaturated fatty acids, and it is one of the richest natural sources of the essential omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids. These are important in preventing cardiovascular diseases. The colour is dark yellow and the taste is pleasantly nutty.

Our oil is manufactured by mechanical cold pressing of flaxseeds with no further processing. It is therefore a 100% flaxseed product.

 

The high content of omega-3 and omega-6 unsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E makes the flaxseed oil beneficial and helpful in prevention and treatment of mild and even serious conditions. It is suitable to use it internally as well as on the skin and hair.

 

The European Commission Regulation no. 432/2012 prohibits claims made on foods and locations selling such foods regarding the health benefits of products which are not specifically approved by this regulation. Therefore it is not possible to use generally accepted claims regarding the effects of the respective products.

Use:

Flaxseed oil is preferable for preparing cold meals. It is suitable for flavouring vegetable and fruit salads, porridges or yoghurts. It can only be added to cooked meals (e.g. potatoes, vegetables, soaps) after heat processing. It is also suitable as a dietary supplement with recommended dosage of 1 teaspoon 2x a day. The health benefits are magnified by combining the oil with curd cheese. Externally, it is used in massages, spread on the body surface and as a part of nurturing wraps and masks. 

 

Proper storage is one of the most important parts of retaining the flaxseed oil properties. Store it in cool and dark places, ideally in the fridge, even prior to opening. Use within 6 weeks of opening. Potential sediment at the bottom is not harmful.
