Virgin rapeseed oil is pressed from Czech origin seeds with no further processing. It is a rich source of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids as well as vitamins E and K. The colour is goldish and both the taste and aroma are quite neutral.

The oil is manufactured by mechanical cold pressing of rapeseeds making it a 100% rapeseed product.

 

Rapeseed oil is fantastic for cooking. You can prepare basically any kind of meal using this oil with the exception of frying. The cold pressing makes the oil more distinctive in taste compared to refined oils. It is a source of omega-3 and omega-6, fatty acids which the body cannot create itself. They must be added through diet. They are present in the oil in an optimum ratio. The oil further contains vitamin E, a natural antioxidant.

Use:

Rapeseed oil can be used for preparing both cold and cooked meals. It is suitable for cooking, baking and other food processing, but its temperature should not exceed 180 °C. The oil loses its health benefits above this temperature. It is suitable for dressings, marinades and vegetable salads. You can also use it to flavour soups, fillings or spreads.

 

Proper storage is one of the most important parts of retaining virgin oil properties. Store it in cool and dark places for no longer than 9 months. Store open bottles in a fridge and use within 3 months.
