How to prepare

Prepare the curd cheese puff dough. Roll it flat, smear with the whipped egg and sprinkle with the grated cheese. Cover it with another flat rolled dough and press both layers together. If you enjoy it, you can add some ketchup into the egg.

 

Use the ready dough in one of the following manners:

  • Use a tracing wheel to cut it into thin stripes, roll them into spirals and move them onto a baking tray.
  • You can smear the surface with the whipped egg once more and sprinkle it with small seeds. Then cut the dough into thin stripes, roll them into spirals and move them onto a baking tray. The alternating sides with and without sprinkling are very effective with the spirals.
  • You can change up the “filling”, the grated cheese on the egg smeared side, using red paprika powder, dried herbs, etc.
